Although a historic community treasure, the library operates as a modern, efficient and functioning library serving the information and recreational needs of Lockhart and Caldwell County citizens. The library provides the use of fourteen computers with high speed Internet access, as well as a scanner, fax, printers, and a reading machine for the visually impaired. Most of the public access computers have word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing software. The children's section has three designated computers with special software for children and educational games.
