MISSION STATEMENT: "Dedicated to a Safe Community" Our mission is to deliver the best service possible to our customers with respect, patience and consideration given to meeting the needs of our community.
Lockhart Fire Rescue is responsible for a timely and cost-effective delivery of emergency services with personnel and resources made available to us through budgeted funds provided by the city. This service delivery includes but is not limited to fire suppression, rescue, control of hazardous material incidents, emergency medical support, public assistance calls, and response to terrorism incidents.
The department maintains on-going activities directly related to those services that include in-service training of career and reserve (volunteer) personnel, pre-incident tactical planning of target hazard occupancies, fire and life safety inspections of commercial businesses, educational fire and life safety programs made available to the general public and specifically structured for the appropriate age group that is receiving the information.
