Lockhart's Municipal Burial Park is located at the intersection of Flores & HWY 183 (Colorado St.) and is open everyday from 6am to sunset.
There is no charge for lot care, only the purchase price. Annual care, which was formerly available for an additional fee has been discontinued. City Staff will take care of all mowing and edging of the grass and pruning the trees and shrubbery when time allows. In general, however, this type of personalized care is the responsibility of the owner. Watering equipment is not provided by the City. If patrons leave sprinklers at the cemetary they will be tagged and removed by City Staff and returned to the appropriate owners.
Major Clean Ups of the cemetery are done twice a year, in March and again in October. People who want to keep sentimental items and/or floweres that could be considered unsightly or faded, should remove those itmes before the clean-up begins.
