The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, drainage, traffic signals, pavement markings, signs, vehicles and equipment.
Public Works is also responsible for maintenance of all City of Lockhart buildings and facilities, with duties including landscaping, carpentry painting, plumbing, tree removals, and other tasks. We also manage the residential solid waste collection contract, and the drainage utility.
