Welcome to the Lockhart's Community Web!
Exciting things are happening in Lockhart and we would like you to be a part of it. We are strategically located between Austin and San Antonio, giving us easy access to big city amenities but at the same time enjoying a great quality of life in a rural setting. We are just 25 minutes from the new Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Each year in June, we celebrate our local heritage with the Chisholm Trail Round-Up. From early cattle drives to oil wells and agriculture, Lockhart has remained a friendly and thriving community for over 150 years. Come visit us and enjoy the Oldest Public Library in Texas, the oldest Protestant Church in Texas, our beautiful Courthouse, and above all, the best tasting Barbecue to be found anywhere!
