Lockhart Community Network was designed to increase public access by providing on-line computers and training opportunities for residents of all ages and skill levels. LCNet also organizes local content into a centralized web site to promote economic development for the community as a whole. LCNet is a community-based, community supported communications network for our Central Texas area providing worldwide access to education, information and communication. LCNet provides equality of digital opportunity by building 12 access locations within the community.
The Lockhart Technology Center is LCNet's headquarters and is located at 901 Bois D'Arc. A large array of education is offered at the Technology Center. It houses the the award winning LOCK.NET computer program and offers instruction day and night in work skill software training, digital photography, and geneology, in both classes and workshops, as well as unlimited use of the Tech Center with monthly & yearly memberships. Distance learning courses with Austin Community College are also available via state of the art video conferencing. Lockhart's Technology Center Sevices.
