A Dickens' Christmas in Lockhart!
Join a rollicking, boisterous cast of all of Dickens' most memorable characters in an illuminated Night Parade that sets off on Market Street and makes its way through historic Lockhart . Truly a fantastic spectacle of performers, dozens of floats, decorated vehicles and costumed walkers. Everyone is invited to join in this holiday romp with an entertaining and amusing group of merrymakers and help us welcome Father Christmas to Lockhart. Get in early to secure a good spot along the route!

A full day of activities is provided every year the first Saturday in December at the annual "A Dickens' Christmas in Lockhart" at the Dr. Eugene Clark Library located at 217 South Main and Prairie Lea Streets.

Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library, City of Lockhart & the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce present two days of fun-filled excitement for the entire family. Step back into the enchanting world of Charles Dickens' 19th century England. Dickens' Christmas in Lockhart transforms Lockhart into an enchanting Christmas Past.

Enjoy two days of activities and entertainment in Historic Lockhart a perfect backdrop for a day of continuous free entertainment and a relaxed shopping experience in Lockhart. Share the delight of children's laughter as magicians, jugglers, a Master Falconer, choirs, musicians entertainment, and Father Christmas to hear holiday wishes throughout the day, and the culmination of the evening, the lighting of the Yule Log. Once lit, the Lord High Mayor White announces the proclamation that Christmas has come to light. Then the library and the historic downtown are lit.

Vendors from all over Texas display and sell their unique handmade crafts. Local businesses will be open late for holiday shopping. Find that one-of-a-kind gift for everyone on your list. Savor delicious authentic English treats at Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe.
