There are a total of eight parks within the City, they are as follows: Arrendondo, Braun, City Park, Lions Park, Navarro, Maple Street, Nueces, and Pecos. Lockhart High School also has a football and softball field with a walking/running track and tennis courts.
The City has six miles of pedestrian walkways that connect schools, parks, and the historic central business district. The Lockhart Springs Walkway is a system of sidewalks and hike/bike trails made up of concrete paths and is ADA compliant. Enjoy a leisurely stroll from S. Commerce Street to Pecos Street between two parks.
Horseback riding and Polo is available in the outlying areas of the County which offer additional recreational opportunities.
Lockhart has a six screen movie theater, Hometown Cinemas, located at 120 W. MLK, Sr. Industrial Blvd.
Gaslight-Baker Theatre is a very active community theatre with a large variety of comedy, drama, and musical productions annually. The Gaslight-Baker encourages all that are interested to volunteer and help in the many areas of production.
