Human Resources Department

The City of Lockhart Human Resource Department provides services to all City departments in the areas of recruitment, employee orientation, payroll, records maintenance, benefits monitoring, job classifications and information dissemination. In addition, this department is responsible for various employee programs that include workers compensation, group health, dental and life insurance, retirement, and unemployment compensation. The City of Lockhart is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

NOTE: Applications are only accepted for posted positions. If a closing date is listed for a position, the application form must be received by Human Resources no later than 5:00 pm on the specified date. Faxed forms will also be accepted as long as the copy is legible. Faxed applications and requested documentation will not be accepted for police or fire classified positions. 

All information contained on the application, resume and any other attachments is subject to verification. Additional background verifications, which include a criminal history record check may be performed on all applicants. 

All employment is conditional upon the City receiving a satisfactory result of your drug/alcohol screening, a criminal background check and medical examination, if required, verifying your medical ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
