The Lockhart Police Department INVITES YOU to tomorrow’s Stand Up for Children: No Excuse for Child Abuse event at City Park. It begins at 1 p.m. and admission
is FREE!
The 5th annual event aims to educate the community on its role in healthy child development and in preventing child abuse. There will be speakers, booths with information on community resources, and family friendly activities—including face painting, arts and crafts, and door prizes! Attendees are encouraged to bring donations for the Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC), like the following:
- Children’s crafts items (i.e. molding clay, finger paints, paper, bubbles, glitter, glue)
- Young girls’ new underwear (all sizes—including bras and socks)
- Child friendly stress balls
- Boys new underwear and socks (all sizes)
- Blankets
- Snacks (i.e. packs of cheese and crackers, chips in single packs, granola bars, popcorn, bottled water, juice boxes, cookies, fruit wraps)
**Gift cards for medicine, school supplies, cash or check donations will also be accepted.
