The City of Lockhart's Comprehensive Plan Draft is now live on the project website! 

The updated Plan--once adopted by City Council--will serve as a guide for policy decisions relating to the physical development of Lockhart in the next 20 years. It establishes a long-range vision for the community and makes recommendations that will provide direction for future decision making. The updated Comprehensive Plan will focus on the following:

• Land Use, Growth and Development
• Mobility and Transportation
• Housing and Community Services
• Economic Development
• Infrastructure and Public Facilities

Residents are invited to comment on the draft from now until Wednesday, October 9 at 12 p.m. After comments are submitted, City Council will review and consider adoption of the plan. Public hearings regarding the possible adoption of the draft plan are to be held before the Planning and Zoning Commission on September 25 and City Council on October 15.
