NOTICE OF CLOSE OUT PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM #CDV21-0093 FOR CITY-WIDE WATER METER IMPROVEMENTS.
The City of Lockhart will conduct a Closeout Public Hearing to discuss the activities accomplished during the implementation of a Texas Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Affairs funded city-wide water meter improvements project. At the Public Hearing the actual accomplishments of the grant funded activities will be discussed including: the replacement of one thousand twenty-five remote read water meters and all associated appurtenances throughout the entire city. The project provided a benefit to the entire city of Lockhart. In addition, the City’s participation in Affirmative Action, the Citizen Participation Plan, and Equal Opportunity will be discussed. At this public meeting, the City of Lockhart will also present information regarding the National Fair Housing Act and will discuss ways to further implement Fair Housing within the City.
The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Glosserman Room in the Lockhart City Hall located at 308 West San Antonio Street. The Glosserman Room at City Hall is accessible to All citizens. Interested parties are encouraged to attend. Interested persons who cannot attend the Public Meeting may submit written comments to the Office of the Mayor at City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street Lockhart Texas 78644. Persons with disabilities who wish to attend the meeting and need to arrange for assistance, or individuals who require a translator, auxiliary aids or services for this public meeting should contact the City Secretary, by calling (512) 398-3461. Citizens requiring assistance must make contact with City Hall at least three (3) days before the Public Meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
