The mission of the City of Lockhart’s Public Information Officer is to provide consistent, timely communications with our residents, businesses, visitors and stakeholders. We want to ensure that people are informed about their local government, and we achieve that by regularly communicating through the City of Lockhart’s website, Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor, Instagram, email distribution lists and direct mail sent to city utility subscribers.
The public information officer also facilitates communications between city officials and the media, helping journalists find answers to their questions, arranging interviews with city officials and generating press releases that are shared through media outlets and directly with the public.
